Marina BMP is berth management software for marinas, harbours, yacht clubs and private docks. It tracks every berth on a list and a visual map, records who is moored where and until when, and produces the reports a marina needs day to day — all offline-first, so core operations keep working with no internet connection.
Features
- Berth management — create, edit and assign berths from a list or the drag-free visual map, with statuses for free, occupied, reserved and maintenance.
- Maintenance tracking — mark berths under maintenance with notes, and see them excluded from normal availability.
- Worker mode — a PIN-locked, simplified view for dock staff: the map, live alerts, and arrivals/departures with owner contacts.
- Progress tracking — every berth change is recorded with the time, the person, and the previous and new values.
- Reporting — the admin dashboard includes overview KPIs, monthly reports, fleet status, financials, alerts and the audit log, with print/PDF export.
- Daily exports — workers export a daily progress report; admins import and review it on the dashboard.
- Administration dashboard — a single place to monitor occupancy, revenue, alerts, worker activity and berth change history.
Getting started
Local installation (free)
Open the app and choose Launch Locally — Free. Nothing to install and no account needed — the app runs in your browser and stores data on your device. You can add berths manually or generate a starter layout, then manage everything from the list, map and dashboard.
Subscription setup (€10/month)
Choose Subscribe — €10/month and complete the secure checkout (processed by Polar). Afterwards you’ll be returned to the site to create your login — use the same email you paid with; that is what links your subscription to your account.
Logging in
Click Sign In, enter your email and password (or use Google sign-in), then launch the app. With an active subscription, your marina data syncs to your account automatically and follows you to any device you sign in on.
Worker workflow
Worker mode gives dock staff exactly what they need and nothing they shouldn’t touch.
- Entering worker mode — tap ⚓ Worker in the app header. The first time, the admin sets an exit PIN and the worker enters their name. Exiting always requires the PIN.
- Selecting berths — tap any berth on the map, or any boat in the side panel, to open it.
- Updating work status — assign an arriving boat, update dates and contacts, set a berth to maintenance, or clear a departing boat with Clear Assignment. Every change is recorded with the worker’s name.
- Alerts and departures — the side panel lists active alerts, boats due to leave within 7 days (overdue ones highlighted), and everyone currently staying, each with tap-to-call and tap-to-email owner contacts.
- Exporting progress — at the end of a shift, tap Export My Day in the side panel. This downloads a daily report file with the worker’s name, the date, the berths worked on, every action taken, optional notes, and a completion summary.
- Synchronisation with the admin dashboard — on a shared device, changes appear on the dashboard immediately. From a separate device, the worker sends the exported file to the admin, who imports it on the dashboard’s Workers tab.
Admin workflow
- Monitoring worker activity — open the dashboard’s 👷 Workers tab to see today’s edits per berth, who changed what (with previous and new values), and a flag on berths edited suspiciously often in one day.
- Reviewing progress — import worker daily-report files on the same tab to review each worker’s day: berths touched, actions completed, notes, and outstanding alerts at export time.
- Managing berths — full control from the list, map and map editor: add, edit, clear, re-arrange, bulk-add, and set maintenance.
- Viewing reports — the dashboard’s Overview, Monthly Report, Fleet Status, Financials, Alerts and Audit Log tabs cover operations end to end, with print/PDF export for records.
Map Layout Editor
Open Map Editor to arrange your marina. Beyond adding and positioning berth slots, you can:
- Upload a map image as a background — click 📷 Upload Map Image and choose a JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF or SVG file (up to ~1.8 MB). Use the Opacity and Scale sliders and the arrow buttons to line it up behind your berths; Remove Image clears it. PDF, TIFF and GeoTIFF aren’t supported directly in the browser — convert them to PNG or JPG first.
- The map image is saved with your marina and, on a subscription, syncs across your devices.
Visual berth management
- The map colour-codes every berth by status (free, occupied, reserved, maintenance) and updates live as you make changes.
- Click a berth to select & edit it — exactly like clicking a card in Grid View, the berth opens in the edit panel. The selected berth is highlighted on the map.
- Drag a berth to move it — press and drag any berth to reposition it on the map; the new position saves automatically and is recorded in the activity log. The app tells a click from a drag automatically, so a quick tap edits while a drag moves. Works with mouse and touch.
- Vessel Length & fit: the berth form includes a Vessel Length (m) field. If it exceeds the berth’s Max Length, the app warns you when saving (and blocks it in Worker Mode).
- Dock names and the uploaded map image can still be repositioned as before.
If the app won’t start
Marina BMP now guards its own start-up. If something goes wrong, instead of hanging it shows a recovery screen with one-click options to reload, restore your most recent backup, download all your data, or continue anyway — so your data is never trapped.
Languages
Marina BMP now speaks ten languages: English, Albanian (Shqip), Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Croatian, Greek and Turkish. Click the 🌐 language button in the top bar to pick one — the whole interface switches instantly and your choice is remembered. On a first visit, the app also tries to match your browser’s language automatically. English is always the base language, so switching back to English is always exact.
